Unrefined Shea butter supplied by Akoma is produced in Ghana by the Akoma Trade Women cooperative. The native women gather the nuts, which are then, processed without the use of any chemicals, only the traditional method used for centuries in this region of Ghana. The butter is filtered to remove ONLY particulate matter.

Our Shea butter we say is organic as the Shea nut trees grows in the wild and have NOT been sprayed with chemicals.

Shea Butter melts at skin temperatures, making it ideal for lip and body balms as well as bar soaps, lotions and skin creams.
