The best soap in the world

We came across black soap whilst on holiday in Africa and had no idea what it was. I was encouraged to try it and loved it but I had no idea it was possible to buy it in this country. I didn't even know what to look for. Then when looking around for suppliers of raw shea butter I came across the the Akoma website and Black Soap!!!

Having used some of the soap which I purchased I must say it is the best soap I have ever used. It is so softening for my skin and makes a great hair shampoo leaving my normally straw like hair feeling soft and healthy. I know where I'll be buying soap in future.

The best beauty products I have are black soap, shea butter and argan oil from Morocco.

Absolutely lovely

This is the only soap we've been using with my hubby for a long time now. It's great as you can use it for the whole body, from head to toe. We also it as a shampoo, mixed with some water and a few drops of tea tree oil to keep the scalp itch-free.

Yes, it does dissolve rather quickly if you keep it in a moist place, but for example in the shower it's easier if you cut some soap into small pieces, put them in a small bottle and let them sit in some water overnight. You'll have a liquid soap that's easy to use, just a couple of drops is enough for the whole body. :) Easy to add your favourite essential oil to the mix too, if you want.

It's great as the soap itself doesn't really smell like anything, either, so it's suitable for the whole family from my 7-month-old daugher to my husband. It's also the only soap I can use whenever I'm pregnant... Others will leave me feeling sick, but not this one! :D Makes daily life just that much easier...

Also, I really really like the fact that I don't have to wonder if it's safe for my children or not. From day one, I've used raw shea butter and black soap for my babies, and will continue to do so. No diaper rashes, no irritation, no nothing. And we don't have to have a shelf full of baby products, as the whole family can use the same, safe products for cleaning and moisturizing.

Also, there are so many products in the market that are marketed for babies, but actually contain a lot of useless stuff that's not always even safe for your kid. Why would you want to buy those when you can have black soap with only 4 safe and natural ingredients? I wonder...

And one more thing... From all the websited I've browsed through (and that's a LOT), I haven't found any another supplier who can provide me with genuine FAIR TRADE products at such an excellent price. I'll be a customer for life, I swear.

Black Soap

It's the best soap i've ever tried!!!i've been using it for few days and i've already seen the difference!!!My face looks a lot better now. I recommend it to everyone.....

Wonderful

This soap is slightly softer than a "normal" soap which means that simply wiping it over damp skin leaves enough soap on the skin to work into a luxurious lather.

Normally I can't use soap because it dries my skin and leaves it so dry it cracks, but this stuff is amazing, I even use it on my face. The lather is very rich and really cleans my skin, be it grubby hands after gardening or removing make-up and daily grime. I do need a moisturiser after use, but less than I would with a normal soap.

I have cut my 1kg block into 12 bars of soap (easy to do with a bread knife) and bar no.1 is still going strong after 3 weeks of daily use on face and in the shower - in other words, great value!

A definite five out of five!

African black soap

I really like this soap, It cleared up my skin quickly and now I have run out my skin has been breaking out again. I would cut a small amount of at a time as it tends to dissolve quickly otherwise.
