Cetearyl Alcohol is a white, waxy mixture of Cetyl alcohol and Stearyl alcohol, both fatty alcohols. Which are found in palm oil plants.

Its is used regularly in many skin care and hair care product to create a thicker and more stabilized product while it also helps to soften the skin and hair. It can also be used as a moisturizer, as an emollient, Cetearyl Alcohol is great for healing and soothing dry skin.

Cetearyl Alcohol is considered safe and nontoxic for use on the skin and hair, while not drying or irritating the skin like other types of alcohol.

COMMON USES: Lotions, creams, hair shampoos, hair conditioners, body washes, makeup products.
