Moisturising and suitable for any skin type, shea butter is a nutrient-packed natural ingredient. Found in the shea tree’s seed, it’s a versatile powerhouse used in skincare and cooking. Akoma shea butter is hand processed and sourced from Fair Trade cooperatives in Ghana. It’s vegan, cruelty-free, and Cosmos Natural certified.   

Organic shea butter has a whole list of benefits. It’s an antioxidant, and it includes both anti-fungal and anti-bacterial agents. It also encourages collagen production and cell renewal, giving it anti-ageing credentials. Many also champion it as an effective treatment for stretch marks, fine lines and wrinkles.

Our Black Soap received both Fairtrade certification (from the Fairtrade Foundation) and Organic status (from the Soil Association) in 2009. Ghanaians have been using black soap for centuries for general bathing and hair washing.
